Ruediger vs. Kelly Tapped For UFC 123

According to MMAjunkie.com, Gabe Ruediger (17-6) will get another crack at snagging a win under the UFC banner. A former TUF cast member, Ruediger was booted from the show after he failed to make weight during filming. Contrary to early comments made by Dana White, Ruediger was offered a second fight (he first made his promotional debut at UFC 63, where he was stopped early in the second round by Melvin Guillard) with the promotion after piecing together a six fight win streak and earning a Tachi Palace Fights title.

Recently however, Joe Lauzon put the brakes on Ruediger?s win streak, completely outclassing him at UFC 118 en route to a decisive first round finish. Ruediger took the fight on short notice, and it may well be the only thing that?s earned him another fight for the UFC. He certainly didn?t dazzle in spite of loss at 118.

Paul Kelly (10-3) has amassed a 4-3 record for the promotion and will be looking to climb back into the win column after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jacob Volkmann at UFC Live 2.

Other UFC 123 rumored bouts include a clash between Quinton ?Rampage? Jackson and Lyoto ?The Dragon? Machida, Tim Boetsch and Phil Davis, Matt Brown and Rory MacDonald, and Dennis Hallman and Karo Parisyan.
