W-1 MMA 6 New Ground Results: Brett Rogers Wins

While the majority of Northern American MMA fans are abuzz over UFC 121 and some of the events' shocking results, some other intriguing fights took place this weekend. In Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, W-1 MMA 6 New Ground got underway, and the card featured a few heavy hitters.<BR><BR>

Brother to UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio ?Shogun? Rua, Murillo ?Ninja? Rua saw action, as did former Strikeforce heavyweight contender Brett Rogers.<BR><BR>

Rua took on Team Cesar Gracie newcomer Roy Broughton in the events co-headlining bout. Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he came up short, losing a three round decision.<BR><BR>

Brett Rogers, who headlined the event in a clash with big man Ruben ?Warpath? Villareal, on the other hand did manage to exit the showdown with a unanimous decision victory.<BR><BR>
